Mindful Parent Workshop Virtual Session

Friends near and far! I'm leading a virtual workshop on mindful parenting and couldn't be more excited to work with you to set intentions and goals to integrate mindfulness into your parenting.

In our 90 minutes together, we'll create a space where you will identify how mindful parenting can be applied in YOUR life right now. We'll meditate, discuss the tools and resources available to support mindful parenting, and each make our own commitments. You'll leave this workshop with your own personal insights on mindful parenting, some tools to inspire you, and an action plan for putting your commitments into practice.

Sign-up here: https://bit.ly/2FAeVz1.

We’ll meet via Zoom. Contact me with any questions.

Can't wait to see you there!

Mindful Parenting @ The Studio School of Durham

A workshop on meditation, tools, and resources to cultivate a mindful parenting practice

Shannon Salentine is a parent, leadership coach, and global program director. Over the last five years Shannon and her husband have been cultivating a spiritual practice for their family that is aligned with their values, the developmental stages of their children, and what feels right. In this effort, Shannon's family discovered a community of parents dedicated to practicing mindfulness. Through this community and her own self-immersion, Shannon developed a strong appreciation for the tools mindfulness offers parents and a practice that serves her daily.

Join Shannon as she shares how meditation and various mindfulness resources have helped her as a parent. During the workshop we'll talk (and practice) mediation and discuss the integration of mindfulness into family life. You'll come away from this workshop with examples of mindfulness tools and some practice in using them!

Holiday Intentions in Duke Forest December 3, 2017 @ 2pm

Join me on December 3rd at 2pm. We'll hike, talk intentions, and get clear on how to stay present as we enter this holiday season.

Location:  Shepherd Nature Trail:  Found in the Durham Division, off NC 751 and inside Gate C, this self-guided nature trail is 0.8 miles long and demonstrates a continuum of systems typical of the North Carolina Piedmont, including wet bottomland forests, rocky hilltops, and human-related disturbances.  A large portion of the woodlands through which this trail traverses suffered severe hurricane damage in 1996.  Visitors can learn about tree species, forest processes, past inhabitants, and current research through a brochure and interpretive signs along the trail.
